Did you know???

    • New carpet and rugs must be cleaned!

Many people ignore the fact that cleaning newly purchased rugs and carpeting is very important. New carpets and rugs go through a process called out-gassing, also known as off-gassing. During this process, the petroleum used in the item’s manufacturer disperses into the air, usually causing a “chemical” smell for several weeks. Out-gassing causes many problems for people and pets alike: aggravating allergies, causing headaches and, in severe cases, respiratory problems. We do not use harsh chemicals, as these will react with the out-gassing chemicals leading to a caustic reaction, make the smell and toxins in the air even worse!

Can’t I just do it myself?

You’ve all seen the rental machines at the grocery and hardware stores. The price is just right, and the machines are small enough to fit into your car. However, the average amount of PSI for a rental machine is 32 at max, which is hardly enough to provide the needed cleaning power. The vacuum motors are generally about 1.74 horsepower meaning that you are not extracting properly and that mix of water, dirt, and harsh chemical will just sit in the fibers. Also please keep in mind that there is no record of how often these machines are cleaned in between rentals.u

When will I be able to use my upholstery and rugs again?

How often should my upholstery be cleaned?

This really all depends upon usage. Keep in mind that upholstery receives a lot of contact. Think of all of the food and beverages that are spilled on upholstery over the course of the year. The oils from human skin which leaves invisible marks that attract stains and dirt. Upholstered couches and chairs also become the favorite homes of pets. We recommend to have upholstery cleaned every 6 months to 2 years.
